Born in 2002, Failla is the namesake of the husband-and-wife winemaking team, Ehren Jordan and Anne-Marie Failla. This label allows Ehren to experiment with his favorite varietals, coaxing their various incarnations from different climates, soil types and rootstock. The current portolio includes Pinots from the Hirsch Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast and Keefer Ranch, 2005 vintages from Occidental Ridge on the Sonoma Coast and Rancho Santa Rosa in the Santa Rita Hills north of Santa Barbara, and 2006 welcomes Appian Way Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley and Estate Pinot from the Sonoma Coast.

Owner Larry Turley and Ehren Jordan, are known as the "Zin Masters" in California, making some of the best Zinfandels from Napa Valley vineyards. Their credo: emphasize maximum ripeness. The first Turley Zinfandels exhibited unprecedented richness and concentration. Says Ehren Jordan, "We feel in general that Cabernet people drink the label, and Zin lovers drink the wine."
