  Littorai - November 3, 2009
Littorai or "coasts" is the perfect word to describe the 30 acres of rolling hills above the Sonoma Coast where this winery sits. Founded in 1993 by Heidi and Ted Lemon, Littorai produces chardonnay and pinot noir wines from the north coast in western Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.

Ted began his study of wine at the Universite de Bourgogne and was the first American ever hired as a winemaker and vineyard manager of a Burgundian estate, Domaine Guy Roulot in Meursault. This experience has shaped Ted's philosophy on winegrowing, specifically terroir. Terroir based winemaking postulates that wine of a single place produced by a single estate, is the greatest expression of winemaking. Littorai is dedicated to the elegance, length and finesse and above all, the mystery of wine.
