  Paul Hobbs Wines - November 17, 2009
Paul Hobbs Winery was founded in 1991 after a long journey for Paul, which began at an early age. It was a bottle of 1962 Chateau d'Yquem that changed everything. Ted's bottany professor at the University of Notre Dame encouraged him to attend weekly wine-tasting seminars and helped him refocus to pursue winemaking. After studying at UC Davis and landing a first job at Robert Mondavi Winery, Paul found himself the Head Enologist at Opus One.

With a stellar background, Paul set out to produce small lot, hand-crafted, vineyard designate wines - starting with one chardonnay, one pinot noir and one cabernet sauvignon. The wines produced are the result of years of perseverance, patience and experimentation with wine.

Flight tastings will include:
  • 2007 Paul Hobbs Chardonnay, Russian River
  • 2007 Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir, Hyde Vineyard, Carneros, Napa Valley
  • 2005 CrossBarn Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
  • 2007 Bramare Malbec, Lujan de Cuyo District, Argentina

Priced at $35.00 per wine flight and $15.00 per canapé plate.
